It is a great relief to announce that Pres. Terri's gavel-napped "precious gavel" has been saved from a possible fiery fate. The Wicked Witch of the West threatened that unless the Club raised at least $225 for the Rotary Foundation by Sep 7, that Terri's gavel would be used as kindling for her Labor Day cauldron fire. Luckily, the Club raised $306 to ransom Pres. Terri's "precious". Now we just wait to see when and how the Wicked Witch will release gavel.
