WELCOME TO TUNKHANNOCK ROTARY CLUB COMMITTEES!
Rotary's commitment to Service Above Self has been channeled through a variety of Committees mandated in the Rotary Club Constitution and Bylaws. Club committees are charged with carrying out the annual and long-range strategic goals of the club. It is recommended that the chair have previous experience as a member of the committee. The Tunkhannock Rotary standing committees are as follows:.
ADMINISTRATION
This committee should conduct activities associated with the effective operation of the club and includes the following sub-committees:
Monthly Programs Committees, Weekly Bulletin/Archives, Attendance, Fellowship, Finance Committee, Awards and Project Committee-Donations.
MEMBERSHIP
This committee should develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the recruitment and retention of members. The membership sub-committees include:
Recruitment/Retention and Orientation/Education.
PUBLIC IMAGE
This committee should develop and implement plans to provide the public with information about Rotary and to promote the club’s service projects and activities. The sub-committees include:
Website/Social Media, Media Relations, District Newsletter Submissions, Crisis Media and Publicity & Marketing.
THE ROTARY FOUNDATION
This committee should develop and implement plans to support The Rotary Foundation through both financial contributions and program participation. The sub-committees include:
Programs, Foundation Fundraising and Grants.
SERVICE PROJECTS
This committee should develop and implement educational, humanitarian, and vocational projects that address the needs of its community and communities in other countries. The sub-committees include:
Drug Take Back Outreach, July 3rd Fireworks, Founder's Day, Roadside Cleanup, Alternative Fund-Raising Ideas Committee, Global Projects, Senior Issues/ Projects, Harvest & Wine Festival and Candy Cane Day.
