2023-2024 Exchange Students

For the 2023-2024 school year, Tunkhannock did not have any of its own exchange students but did host 2 exchange students who lived with families in Tunkhannock and matriculated at Tunkhannock Area High School.

At the Aug 17, 2023 Rotary Luncheon at Shadowbrook, club members had the opportunity to welcome our first of 2 new exchange students Botond Batyky (called Boty), who is 16 and from Budapest, Hungary.  In addition to his parents, he has 2 little brothers and a cat.  His sport is water polo.

At the Aug 24 meeting, he indicated that he will try football as his first sport at Tunkhannock Area High School.

At the Aug 24. 2023 Rotary Luncheon, our newest exchange student Tanguy Verrier from France was welcomed by the Club.  He is from a small town in the champagne region of France.  The first sport he is trying at school will be cross-country.
