At the Feb 7 Rotary Luncheon, the club heard from Timothy Genetti. Tim is from the Hazleton Rotary and is chairperson for the 2019 Rotary District 7410 Conference, which will take place April 5-6 at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton. He pointed out that District Conference is a good place to learn about Rotary. They will highlight 3-4 projects in the District, including the Honduras project. There will be fabulous speakers, an Italian dinner on Friday and an Irish buffet dinner on Saturday, with folks dressed up in their family heritage clothes. The Conference should be: Fun! Fun! Fun!
Since Apr 5 & 6 is too early for golf, they will have a community project on Friday at 1 PM to make 2,500 bags to give to those in need and homeless. They want travel sizes samples of various sundries. Please bring them to your local club.
