On August 25, 1925, the Rotary Club of Tunkhannock was chartered by Rotary International. The Club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pittston. It was the first service organization in Tunkhannock and "Service Above Self" is the motto of the Club and Rotary International.
On Aug 26, 2021 the Club celebrated its 96th Anniversary at its Club luncheon at Shadowbrook Inn and Resort with balloons, Anniversary cupcakes, a rousing chorus of Happy Anniversary and trivia questions concerning the history of the Club.
