Rotarian Rev. Lou Divis is a trained Biblical Story Teller, who usually tells stories from the Bible but has expanded her repertoire to other types of storytelling as she did at Founder’s Day at the Dietrich Theater.

At the July 21 Rotary Luncheon, Lou told several Hodja stories. A Hodja is a wise person or teacher. A famous Turkish Hodja was Nasreddin Hodja. She relayed several amusing stories about Hodja Nasreddin including what happens to the full moon, washing his cat (which died when he went to wring it out), and where does his wisdom come from (he listens to other people -so, when he speaks, he asks the people what he said and listens to what they say).
