Candy Cane Day Money Distributed for Toys for Kids for Xmas

At the Dec 1 Rotary Meeting, Candy Cane Chair Mike Markovitz reported that almost $2,000 was collected from Black Friday shoppers to buy toys for kids for Xmas.

 

Mike presented checks for $1,000 each to Mary Foley, Executive Director for Interfaith Friends, and to Patricia Skrynski, Executive Director of Wyoming County Children & Youth. The money will be used by these organizations to buy Christmas toys/gifts for children in need or in foster care in Wyoming County, making Christmas a little happier for a group of deserving children.
