Donations to Local Organizations

Each year, the Tunkhannock Rotary makes donations to a variety of Organizations in Tunkhannock and Wyoming County. Donations are made to local charitable and service organizations such as the Tunkhannock Public Library, Dietrich Theater, Interfaith Friends, H.A.N.D.S., Wyoming County Children & Youth and the Victim Resource Center (to name just a few of the recipient organizations with some others listed below).

 

Additional donations are made to Special Olympics, disaster relief efforts,  as well as sponsorship of 2 scholarships for high school seniors, several short and long-term inbound and outbound exchange students and student leadership clubs and programs (Interact, RYLA and HOBY). 

 

These donations are funded from the proceeds from the events sponsored by the Rotary Club during the year, especially the Rotary Harvest & Wine Festival and by additional monetary donations from Club members.
