2016 Blessing of the Books Presentation

On Wednesday Jan 13, the Tunkhannock Rotary Club was part of the presentation of approximately 10,000 children's Books to Dean Debra Pelligrino of the Panuska College of Professional Studies at the University of Scranton. The College collects children's books each year for distribution to children's organization. Students of the College also put an inspirational message in each book. Tunkhannock Rotarians Lou Jasikoff, Terry Furman (Chair of Literacy Committee) and honorary Rotarian Tommasina Fiorillo (Faculty Advisor to TAHS Interact Club) led the collection of books from the town, TASD Elementary Schools and Tunkhannock Area High School, respectively.
